Do I ever have to pay for any services on Datedash.com?

Datedash.com is 100% FREE. You will never be asked to give your credit card information to gain access to any portion of this site.

How can Datedash be a FREE site?

To keep this site a FREE service we need your support by clicking through our advertising/banner ads.

How do I create a profile?

Create your FREE profile by

Click on Create a Profile button and proceed to follow instructions on the next page.

What if I don't submit a photo?

Your profile will not have the same amount of exposure. Other members view Profiles ten times more than those without photos.

What is an Avatar?

Your Avatar is the thumbnail photo other users will see in the search results and whever a thumbnail photo is used on Datedash.com (email, chat, your events/groups/music/blogs, you get the idea).

You can upload several Avatars to use and switch out anytime. Go to My Avatar under My Profile or My DASH-board to upload and manage your Avatar photos.

How do I update/change my profile?

Sign in. Go to Edit My Profile under the My Profile menu at top. Find the section of your profile you want to change. Simply make your changes and click submit button.

Can I change my username?

No. Once you sign up you cannot change username.

How do I change my password?

Sign in. Go to Edit My Profile and scroll down to Change Password and enter your old password and then your new password.

Why do I get kicked off site when I change my password?

If you change your password you must sign in again using your new password

How do I submit a photo?

Login and go to My Photos. This takes you to your Photo Albums page. The photos that show up on your profile detail page should be uploaded into your album {Username}'s Photo Album. Follow the instructions for picture size requirements and how to post the photo.

What are Albums and how do I use them?

Photos, Audio and Video use albums to help you orginize your files. Every member get default albums with their username, i.e. {Username}'s Photo Album would be your default photo album name. Whatever you upload to these default albums will display on your profile detail. You can also add albums for other types of files like, "My Funny Audio" or "Photos of pets" and fill these albums with your favorite Joke audio and shots of your dog Barney.

How do I change or delete my photo?

Go to My Photos choose and the album where you uploaded your photo (Avatar photos are put in your default album). Click on Manage Photos on top. Here you can delete your photo or move it to another photo album.

What if I don't have a scanner or digital photo?

You can mail in your phot

How do I cancel/suspend my membership?

You can cancel your membership by logging in and clicking on My DASH-board and click Delete Profile or go to Profile Status to suspend your profile.

How do I change my password and/or e-mail address?

Go you Edit Profile and you can change it there.

How do I send messages to other members?

View a member's profile and click the Contact button.

Can I get my messages sent to me directly?

When someone sends you a message, we notify you that you have new mail at DateDash.com. However, we don't forward the message itself. You can read your message by logging in. The advantage is that you can immediately view the member's profile to get more information and your e-mail address is never revealed.

If I deleted an e-mail from my Mail Box, can I get it back?

Unfortunately NO. Once you have deleted a message or a Star Box message it is gone forever.
